Privacy Policy
Scrapped · Last updated 3 August 2026
Scrapped is an app for making shared photo scrapbooks with people you know. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. We keep it short because the app does not do much with your data beyond making it work.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, display name, handle, and optional bio and profile pictures. Used to sign you in and let friends recognise you.
- Photos and content you add — the photos, captions, notes, doodles, stickers and comments you put in scrapbooks. Stored so they appear for you and for people you share a scrapbook with.
- Scrapbook details — titles, dates and locations you type in. Locations are used for passport stamps and to look up historical weather for that place and date.
- Notification token — if you allow notifications, a device token from Apple so we can send you alerts. It cannot identify you outside the app.
- Photo library metadata — if you enable trip suggestions, the app reads dates and location data from photos on your device to spot trips. This analysis happens on your device. Nothing from your camera roll is uploaded unless you explicitly choose a photo to add.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers, and no ads.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing.
- No background location tracking. We never track where you are.
- No analytics profiles built on your behaviour.
Who can see your content
Scrapbooks have a visibility setting you control: private, family, friends, or public. Photos and comments are visible to whoever the owner has shared that scrapbook with. Public scrapbooks can be seen by other Scrapped users. You can change a scrapbook's visibility or delete it at any time.
Service providers
- Supabase — hosts our database, file storage and authentication. Your account and content are stored there.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivers notifications to your device.
- Open-Meteo — looks up historical weather for a place name and date to print on passport stamps. No personal data is sent; only a location name and a date.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account from inside the app: Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, your scrapbooks, every photo you uploaded, and your comments, reactions, notes and doodles. It cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, email us at the address below.
Children
Scrapped is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention
We keep your content for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your content is deleted along with it.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your information. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, email us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
